Develop, manage and control a wide range of programs and activities to ensure that company products are manufactured within specifications and are able to be utilized by our customers free from any defects that might affect the intended use.
Will provide overall leadership for establishing and maintaining a focus on quality as a major corporate priority.
Responsible for the management of regulatory programs and ensure company compliance.
Establish, communicate and enforce all company quality policies.
Manage department budget.
Establish and maintain standards over all products with specifications, manufacturing practices, customer requirements, hygiene, sanitation and food safety.
Provide overall strategy and direction for Plant Quality Control.
Manage Food Safety program.
Responsible for company's recall program and regulatory relationships.
Manage company's customer complaint system.
Works with Sales on customer concerns.
Reviews technical problems and procedures of operational and production depts. Any other issues which are deemed necessary to maintain a functional Quality dept.
Qualifications
Ideal qualifications include a bachelors degree in Food or Dairy Science. Masters level is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years experience in Quality Control and Assurance, Plant experience preferred.
Position requires strong leadership, communication and analytical skills.
