Under the direction of Product Line Management, the Sr. Program Manager coordinates and supports all activities related to his/her assigned programs. Serves as the primary communication link between the customer and Company. Advises management of current status and potential problem areas on a regular basis and takes appropriate corrective action as required. May be responsible for the technical direction of one or more Program Managers in the start-up phase (design & qualification) and follow-on phase (production).

Sr. Program Manager is responsible for coordinating all program activities from contract award through data and hardware delivery. the incumbent acts as a single point of contact for the customer and, therefore, must be skillful in conversing with the customer regarding any aspect of the program. This requirement includes design features, quality systems, manufacturing processes, delivery plans and pricing support.

The Sr. Program Manager has become a recognized expert for the technology involved in the product they are assigned, and the Company systems related to the product. They must be accomplished iin the methods, procedures and techniques used in the quality control system and the material control system. Must be able to explain Cost Schedule Status Reports and Cost Performance Reports to customers. Must analyze terms, conditions and other contractual requirements.
