Description
Director, Sales and Marketing for an international manufacturer of copper wire and specialty copper conductors such as Continuously Transposed Conductors (CTCs) and Roebel Bars. The products are utilized by manufacturers of generators and power transformers such as ABB, Siemens, GE, etc. The position is located at the manufacturing plant within commuting distance of Augusta, GA and reports to the division President in another country. A BSEE degree from an accredited university is required along with 12+ years of sales/marketing experience in the electrical power industry. Ideally, that experience will be in sales and marketing to power transformer manufacturers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a business plan, operating budget and performance metrics to drive revenue and build the foundation for growth.
- Managing relationships with key global customers including the creation and implementation of customized marketing programs.
- Defining strategies, developing business ideas to guide and drive competitive offerings, ensure customer satisfaction and profitability of the products.
- Technical selling and business development with OEMs and ultimate customers.
- Lead the marketing and sales, technical support, and service to attain revenue goals.
- Develop strategic account plans based on industry trending and customer analysis.
- Position company's products and services at appropriate level with the customers and as a means to achieving competitive advantage.
- Develop and maintain industry relationships that provide opportunities for new business development pursuits.
- Evaluate and suggest high-level recommendations and improvements to optimize customers current technology needs and enhance their business processes.
- Copper procurement and hedging.
