Description

This tax professional will work closely with the Director of Tax (right-hand, possible succession role) who will be responsible to manage the income tax compliance function and coordinate with other Tax groups (Planning, Accounting and Audits) to identify, analyze and implement tax reduction strategies as well as ensure the proper financial statement reporting and successful resolution of tax controversy matters. This is a vital position that will contribute to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth.

Requirements:

• Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws and tax accounting standards. Sound knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Ability to analyze and interpret technical laws, regulations, rulings and court decisions and to apply them to business operations.
• Two or more years as an intermediate level manager, providing leadership, coaching, guidance, and training and contributing to staff development. Supervised subordinates or contractors.
• Advanced degree or professional certification requiring formal education beyond college
• Thorough computer knowledge such as word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to resolve complex problems in day to day situations.
