Description
Our client, a $2 billion dollar consumer nutritional food company, is looking for a Manager, Sales Training. There is great potential for promotion from this position. Two former position holders have been promoted to an RSM and a DVP.
This position is responsible for training the Consumer Product Sales (CPS) organization in the understanding of the company's products and categories. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop training materials and conduct training classes for core training programs: leadership training, new manager training, new hire training, professional selling, product training, technology training and general purpose training.
- Develop sales presentations for Consumer Product Sales.
- Update and maintain content in the Company's Learning System and training manuals.
- Manage a team of trainers focused on the Consumer Products Sales organization.
- Provide input for continuous improvement of the Company's Sales University curriculum.
Education and Experience Requirements: - Need candidate who understands category management and has a broad understanding of all Company products and how they are sold.
- 2-5 years of sales training experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry REQUIRED.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others at all levels both within and external to the function.
- Demonstrated track record of implementing innovative ideas and programs.
- Established effective presentation and communication skills.
- Technical Proficiency in using Lotus Notes, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Previous demonstrated ability to manage or lead a team.
- Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred.
