Description
The companys Joliet, Ill., facility, near Chicago, manufactures chemical intermediates, including purified isophthalic acid, maleic anhydride and trimellitic anhydride.
- Develop reliability strategies for plant equipment (either fixed or rotating equipment)
- Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFAs) to provide actions that will improve system reliability and prevent recurrence
- Provide technical scopes and engineering field support for projects and turnarounds
- Support the development of the mechanical integrity program
- Ensure regulatory compliance in equipment areas
- Propose and champion projects to increase reliability of the plant equipment
- Manage equipment specifications and standards
- Collaborate cross-site on institutionalizing reliability best practices
Requirements
- BS in Engineering, specifically Mechanical, Civil, Materials Science or Metallurgy
- Strong project management and leadership skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work cross functionally in a team-based reliability environment
- Ability to think and apply reliability life-cycle economic thinking to issues
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external customers and suppliers
