Description

  • Troubleshooting and implementation of enterprise data networks (WAN, MAN, LAN, WLAN). Resolve critical data network problems.
  • Monitor and analyze applications’ data network traffic to troubleshoot issues and correct problems. Familiarity with Foundry Networks and Cisco Systems family of network switches and associated IOS’s very helpful.
  • Will transition to supporting VOIP applications in the future.


Qualifications:


Candidate Must Have: 
 

  • BS in Computer, Electronic sciences, Telecommunications, or Networks is required
  • 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and implementing enterprise data networks (WAN, MAN, LAN, WLAN).
  • Requires the ability to obtain a US government security clearance.
  • Must possess CCNA or CCNP
  • Must be able to interface with hardware/software vendors, manage carriers, and be a partner facing contact, representing the company.

Additional Desired Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of data protocols including TCP/IP, 802.X, layer 2 bridging protocols such as MPLS, STP and RSTP, required.
  • Familiarity with Frame Relay, VRRP, HSRP and layer 3 IP routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP and RIP. Familiarity with authentication protocols such as LEAP, PEAP, WPA, TACACS+, RADIUS and IKE.
  • Familiarity with encryption protocols such as IPSEC and SSL.
  • Understanding of network equipment manufacturers’ implementations of the above protocols.
  • Familiarity with network performance analysis protocols/tools such as NETFLOW, SNMP, and Sniffer tools.
  • Familiarity with networked application performance analysis at the packet flow level and related tools such as Application Vantage.
