Description Position Overview:
Company located in East Syracuse is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the definition, design, fabrication and test of a new highly mobile-radar.
Key Responsibilities:
Designing and analyzing mechanical assemblies.
Interface with system engineering to allocate and derive requirements for mechanical components.
Developing designs using SolidWorks CAD software.
Producing solid designs to ensure performance, manufacture, support, alignment, calibration, test, deployment, etc.
Required Background:
BS degree (MS preferred) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and 10+ years of experience in a design/test/production environment.
Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Experience in preparation of review packages, and to moderate and participate in technical interchange meetings and design reviews.
Experience using SolidWorks 3-D CAD software and PDM applications in a production environment is desirable.
